When we get a brief to tell a story we are able to harness all our filmmaking skills – cinematography, direction, creativity and more. This was a great project to be involved in as our production team were able to get fully immersed in location scouting, casting and scriptwriting to create this mini-film. The aim was to create a piece that had the same production values as a piece of television drama or short film.
This is exactly what a production company should be used for – covering all elements of filmmaking to make something people will want to watch.
Our DOP used a Blackmagic Ursa Pro with a variety of lenses to get the most of the scenes. The farmhouse lent itself to some creative lighting direction to make the scene look like early morning. Our
colourist then worked through the film to create a look of turning from misty dawn light through to dusk at the end. Some choice use of drone shots helped to complete the farm scenes.
We love the moving image. In fact, we have a passion for it. Big or small screen and wherever your viewers watch, it is an irresistible opportunity to fill a space with colourful pictures and words, to make a statement and say something.
